Meet Declan Harp.
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming new series Frontier, starring Aquaman actor Jason Momoa.
Though brief, the trailer does give a decent first look at Frontier’s dark tone and plot, and the series’ main antagonists, the British Empire. There’s also plenty of barbaric violence and close-quarter hatchet fights, particularly from Momoa’s character, Declan Harp.
Frontier is set in Canada in the 1700s, and revolves around warring factions struggling to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade. The story is told from multiple perspectives and will explore the tense relationships between Native tribes and Europeans during this time period, which usually devolve into bloody conflicts.
The six-episode first season will debut on Netflix on January 20, and the series has already been picked up for a second season.
We want to hear it.
